- Agaram will implement Qualis LIMS, Logilab ELN and Logilab SDMS across Waaree’s multi-site manufacturing operations
- This marks Agaram’s expansion into the fast-growing energy storage segment, bringing purpose-built lab informatics to the dense, high-volume test data challenges unique to Energy storage system cell production.
CHENNAI, INDIA - August 31, 2026 — Agaram Technologies, a global provider of laboratory informatics solutions, expands its offerings into the Li-ion Cell Systems with Waaree Energies, a leading Indian energy storage manufacturer selecting Qualis LIMS, Logilab ELN and Logilab SDMS to digitize quality and testing operations across its multi-site manufacturing operations in India. The engagement will cover deployment across QA (Quality Assurance) and QC (Quality Control) laboratories, with native integration into the Waaree’s SAP environment and laboratory instrumentation.
The win gives Agaram its foothold in the energy storage segment positioning Agaram as one of the first lab informatics providers in India built specifically to handle the dense, repeated-test data generated by energy storage cell production, and among the first in the broader Asia-Pacific region (outside China) to address this workload at this scale.
Energy Storage cells are tested repeatedly and continuously through their production and qualification cycle, generating far denser, higher-volume result sets than a conventional QA lab - multiple tests per sample, repeated across large sample sets, that must be compared and trended over time. Traditional LIMS platforms, designed around discrete samples and static results, are not built for this. Agaram's Qulais LIMS & Logilab SDMS are purpose-built to capture, catalog and retrieve high-density, high-volume result data, and to layer analytics on top of it which is precisely one of the key USP that enabled the customer to drive the deal with Agaram over the alternative approaches typically used in this space.
The deployment will give Waaree Energies an integrated informatics backbone spanning R&D flexibility and production discipline, the exact hand-off that makes Li-ion cell informatics so difficult to get right:
- Qualis LIMS across QA and QC - an out-of-box LIMS configured to the customer's specific battery-cell testing workflows, replacing manual, spreadsheet-driven tracking with a structured, auditable system
- Logilab SDMS for dense result capture and analytics built to handle large volumes of repeated test results per cell, with built-in analytics and trend reporting across samples, addressing the “massive volumetric data” problem that is one of the hardest technical challenges in battery informatics globally
- Logilab ELN to bridge R&D and production, giving scientists the flexibility to document evolving formulations and test protocols while feeding structured, validated data downstream into production QA
With India's energy storage battery market projected to reach nearly US$20 billion by 2030 and the battery energy storage market growing at over 33% CAGR, the need for intelligent, data-driven manufacturing has never been greater.
"Our entry into the energy storage sector marks a strategic expansion into a high-growth market where laboratory data is rapidly becoming a competitive advantage. What sets Agaram apart is our purpose-built SDMS platform, engineered to manage the high-volume, high-frequency test data generated throughout the battery lifecycle-capabilities that conventional laboratory systems were never designed to deliver. Together with Qualis LIMS and Logilab ELN, we provide manufacturers with an integrated digital backbone that strengthens quality, traceability and operational intelligence, positioning Agaram to be a leading informatics partner for the energy storage industry,” said, Mukunth Venkatesan, Founder & CEO, Agaram Technologies.
"With Waaree scaling battery pack and cell manufacturing to gigafactory levels, having a lab data backbone that can keep pace with high-volume, repeated testing is essential. Qualis LIMS and Logilab SDMS give our QA and QC teams a structured, auditable way to manage that data at scale, while integrating cleanly with our SAP and instrumentation environment. This partnership strengthens the traceability and quality discipline we need as we build out our battery and energy storage capacity," said Mr. M. Baskar, General Manager – Quality Assurance (QA), Waaree Energies.
For Agaram, the win extends a product line built over two decades in regulated, data-intensive industries - pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, life sciences, clinical research, oil and gas, food and beverage, chemicals and diagnostics - into a new, fast-growing vertical. energy storage sector is scaling rapidly as manufacturers build out gigafactory-scale production, and as regulatory guidelines/ directions (including emerging traceability requirements akin to the EU Battery Passport) increases the need for auditable, end-to-end test data.
